Incredibly soft leather, wow! I have some vaguely similar style watercolour journals that have no embossing and the leather is much smoother and softer on this one. The pages are definitely darker than I anticipated, but I actually quite like the stained, very old look to those pages. It feels like it fits for my research of the Egyptian pantheon, being such an ancient civilisation! I haven’t used it yet so I don’t know how well the pages hold up to light water colouring and writing/erasing in. Definitely not as thick/durable as the cotton paper in my watercolour journals, but feels a bit thicker than standard printer paper.
